Linda Wandt is a painter living in Austin, TX who loves representational painting. Originally from Long Island, New York, she has been in Texas for 20 years and drives a little pick up truck that is named Sparkle Pirate. She loves plants, reading lots of books, making things out of wood, running, hanging out with her two cats and enjoys eating great food made by her husband Matt. Linda tries to not anthropomorphize basicaly everything, but sometimes it's hopeless.
Linda studied painting at The University of Texas at Austin, and continued her studies at weekly figure painting sessions for many years, before learning more about painting from the best artists she could find and learn from. Her work is heavily inspired by literature and the philosophy classes she took too seriously in college. The problem of Free Will vs The Law of Causation is something she still has not fully recovered from and it shows in her work.
