This piece was a commission for a dear friend who wanted a Day of the Dead rooster skeleton. I spent 2 weeks looking at Mexican Folk Art before deciding to honor and use many traditional elements, and to not stylize the skeleton to add my own flair to the rich history behind the imagery.
